Tuesday Campfire – My Week at Camp

childrens-ministry-campfire

It’s campfire tonight and I’m excited to be sharing with the kids about who Jesus is!

 BIG Question

The BIG question tonight is, “Who was Jesus anyway?” The kids and their cabin leaders are going to discover the answer as they delve into their Bibles to look up verses that tell us about Jesus.

As they share their discoveries I’m going to write them on one of two poster papers. By the end we will discover that Jesus is both God and human. Jesus is totally God and totally human at the same time! There is no one like Jesus!!

“But you know that He appeared so that He might take away our sins. And in Him is no sin.” 1 John 3:5

Campfire at Bible Camp

childrens-ministry-big question

I’m at Bible camp all week and so excited to be sharing the love of Jesus with these fantastic kids!

The first time I get to speak with the kids is at campfire tonight. I get to introduce the theme and let kids know that God loves them and created them to have a relationship with Him!

Seek Him!

The theme this week is “Seek Him!” so every day we are going to ask a BIG question and then find the answer together.

BIG Question

Tonight at campfire, the BIG question is “Do I really matter to God?”

When you matter to someone they notice you. Psalm 139:1-4, 13,14 tells us just how much God notices us – He knows where we are every moment; He sees every time we sit down or stand up; He knows every thought we think; He hears every word before we speak it; He knows us! He knows us so intimately because He made us.

So, it’s clear that God notices us, but do we matter to Him? The answer is yes! God loves us and created us different from His other creations. He made us so that we could have a special relationship with Him.

Now, are we having s’mores, or what?
